FIRST RESPONDERS

First responders are needed now, more than ever. Dealing with the battle of COVID-19 has been tiring for many responders however, they continue to help others.

They frequently face potentially dangerous and even traumatic situations and thus may be susceptible to a wide range of medical and mental health issues.

Although, first responders receive praise for their heroic work, it doesn’t mean that they aren’t at risk for mental issues. Due to the risks they face in the course of duty, they may experience a variety of issues, such as injury, anxiety, burnout and depression.

At Star Point Counseling center, therapy can help an individual address and challenge negative thought patterns contributing to mental health symptoms.
