PANIC DISORDER

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE THIS DISORDER?

The Panic disorder is associated with anxiety. It causes feelings of terror without there actually being any real danger. A very common symptom is having fast heart rate, however there is more listed below.

  1. Sweating

  2. Trembling or shaking

  3. Shortness of breath or tightness in your throat

  4. Chills

  5. Hot flashes

  6. Nausea

PANIC DISORDERS SHOULD GET TREATED:

Avoiding the signs of panic and anxiety can lead to further complications if not treated such as: Depression, increased risk for suicide, phobias, decreased focus in a work environment.

About 1.7 percent of the adult U.S. population ages 18 to 54—approximately 2.4 million Americans—has panic disorder in a given year. Women are twice as likely as men to develop panic disorderPanic disorder typically strikes in young adulthood.
